How Fantasia Works

Fantasia is a unique contraceptive method for women. The gel prevents pregnancy by lowering the vaginal pH (making it more acidic), which stops sperm from reaching the egg. Normally, the vagina is acidic, but when exposed to semen—due to prostate secretions—the pH becomes neutral. Fantasia contains lactic acid, citric acid, and potassium bitartrate, which restore the vaginal pH to its acidic state during intercourse. In an acidic environment (especially with a pH below 5), sperm become immobile and ineffective in fertilization.

Dosage Instructions

Use one tube of Fantasia gel with the applicator vaginally, either immediately or up to one hour before vaginal intercourse.
If you plan to have intercourse more than once within an hour, use a new tube and applicator each time.
If more than an hour has passed since application, apply a new dose before intercourse.

Precautions

Warnings and Precautions

If you have a history of recurrent urinary tract infections or any urinary tract disorders, consult your doctor or pharmacist.
Discontinue use if any allergic reaction occurs.
If you or your partner are allergic to any ingredients in Fantasia, avoid using the gel.
Fantasia does not prevent the transmission of sexually transmitted infections (STIs), including HIV.
Fantasia is not effective if used after intercourse.
