Voprazan®

Vonoprazan inhibits the gastric proton pump (H⁺/K⁺-ATPase) in a potassium-competitive manner, thereby suppressing acid secretion from gastric parietal cells.

• Treatment and maintenance of healing of acid-related damage to the esophagus (erosive esophagitis)
• Relief of heartburn associated with gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), with or without erosive esophagitis
• Treatment of Helicobacter pylori infection in combination with antibiotic regimens (with amoxicillin or amoxicillin plus clarithromycin)

• Take one 10 mg or 20 mg tablet once or twice daily, as prescribed by your physician, with a glass of water, with or without food.

Warnings and Precautions

• Consult your physician or pharmacist before using Voprazan^® if:
  • You have low blood levels of magnesium, calcium, or potassium, or are taking diuretics
  • You have kidney or liver problems

Pregnancy and Breastfeeding

• If you are pregnant, think you may be pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or are breastfeeding, consult your physician or pharmacist before use.

Inform your physician or pharmacist about all medications you are taking, including prescription and non-prescription drugs, vitamins, and herbal supplements.

Voprazan^® may affect the activity of other medicines, and other medicines may affect how Voprazan^® works.

Common adverse effects (for erosive esophagitis or heartburn)

Gastritis (stomach inflammation) or stomach pain, dyspepsia, bloating, nausea, diarrhea, constipation, hypertension, and urinary tract infection

Common adverse effects (for H. pylori treatment with antibiotics)

Abdominal pain, temporary taste disturbance, diarrhea, headache, hypertension, vaginal fungal infection, and flu-like symptoms

Do not take more than prescribed. In case of overdose, contact your physician immediately.

For erosive esophagitis or heartburn

Take the missed dose as soon as possible within 12 hours. If more than 12 hours have passed, skip the missed dose and take the next dose at the scheduled time.

For H. pylori treatment

Take the missed dose as soon as possible within 4 hours. If more than 4 hours have passed, skip the missed dose and continue your regular schedule until completion of therapy.

• History of severe hypersensitivity to vonoprazan or any component of the drug
• Concomitant use with rilpivirine (used for treatment of HIV-1)

• Store below 30°C.
• Keep out of the sight and reach of children.

Bottle containing 30 film-coated tablets. Each tablet contains 10 mg or 20 mg of vonoprazan.
